We're Hiring: Workshop Assistant (Permanent)
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Workshop Assistant to join our team in Billingshurst. This is a permanent position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and is physically capable of handling heavy lifting. A positive attitude and a hands-on approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:

Performing heavy lifting as required

Operating workshop machinery such as beam saws, CNC drills, and CNC edgebanders

Carrying out general maintenance and cleaning tasks

Managing workloads and responsibilities assigned by the Team Leader

Understanding job-specific requirements and ensuring tasks are completed accurately

Reporting any faults, issues, or discrepancies with production or on the workshop floor to your supervisor
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have:

Previous experience in a similar workshop or hands-on role

Experience using workshop machinery (beam saws, CNC drills, CNC edgebanders, etc.) is preferred

The ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A proactive, "can-do" attitude and willingness to get involved
