Assurance Analyst

Morgan McKinley is partnering with a leading Insurer that is seeking a Line 2 Assurance Analyst to support the design and delivery of an integrated assurance strategy. This dynamic role is pivotal in executing risk-based assurance activities and providing insights into the internal control environment. Join a team dedicated to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and risk-aware culture and report directly to the Head of Assurance.

The role enables efficient and appropriate delivery of control effectiveness insights through the creation of methodologies, tools, and systems of work. You will test the controls across the whole business and liase with multiple teams and business unit leaders.

This is a 6 month contract due to internal secondments and the business offers hybrid working 2-3 days a week in the CBD office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager and Assurance Team in delivering an integrated assurance strategy and plan, focusing on best practices for risk and compliance control assurance.
• Execute a comprehensive, risk-based assurance plan, ensuring the quality, capability, and capacity of controls across the business.
• Draft, present, and deliver detailed reports to senior management, highlighting findings, recommendations, and agreed action plans.
• Assist in developing and facilitating training and educational programmes on assurance practices.
• Provide expert advice, coaching, and development support to Line 1 Risk Owners to improve risk management standards.

Key Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Demonstrated experience in risk management, compliance, internal audit, or quality management.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing governance frameworks, systems, and processes.
• Strong technical knowledge of controls assurance methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
