Operations Analyst

We are delighted to be partnering with a global financial institution to recruit a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trade Support Analyst to support their Australia Rates and Global Futures & Financing (GFF) business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of a dynamic trading floor, providing vital middle office support across a range of complex financial products, including swaps, options, FX, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform trade control functions for the Australia Rates and GFF desk, ensuring accuracy across a broad range of products including:

  • Interest Rate Swaps, Options, FRAs, Caps/Floors, Cross Currency Swaps, FX, Asset Swaps, Total Return Swaps, and Inflation-linked products.

• Manage the full trade lifecycle - trade validation, ongoing maintenance, break resolution, system reconciliation, and reporting.

• Daily trade reconciliation for all new trades (paper confirmed, MarkitWire, and electronic).

• Provide middle office support to the trading desk, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of queries.

• Coordinate and resolve breaks across cash, collateral, valuations, and documentation.

• Distribute high-accuracy daily reports to trading desks and senior stakeholders.

• Liaise with MO Risk and P&L teams to resolve any risk and P&L discrepancies.

• Collaborate with Sales and Client Management teams to resolve client issues effectively.

• Manage trade unwind events, such as Trioptima, in coordination with Front Office and P&L.

• Investigate and respond to internal and external queries, working cross-functionally as required.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience in a Trade Support, Trade Control, or Trade Assistant role (preferred).

• Strong understanding of FICC markets and products, including FX, Options, Rates, and Bonds.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other core office tools.

• Exposure to Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar platforms is advantageous.

• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and multitasking abilities.

• Proven track record of working in a high-pressure environment with a focus on accuracy and stakeholder management.
