Legal Counsel (Privacy)

Our client, a leading fintech group in the region, is looking for a tech-savvy privacy lawyer to join the team due to business expansion.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal teams and compliance to provide strategic advice to enable business growth and innovation in a privacy compliant manner.
• Assist in new product launches in the APAC region, collaborating globally on privacy initiatives.
• Analyze products and policies to identify risks and propose solutions.
• Implement privacy principles in product development, ensuring actionable features.
• Support the legal team with privacy-related contract drafting and negotiations.
• Ensure privacy compliance for licensed entities within relevant jurisdictions.
• Track changes in privacy laws and advise on their impact on business operations.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in common law jurisdictions with at least 5 years of experience.
• Familiarity with financial services industry and payment processing.
• Experience in tech company (e.g. SaaS, social media, AI, app-based services) would be an advantage.
• Professional working proficiency in Mandarin and English.
