Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with IT professionals to handle a wide range of network-related tasks, including design, implementation, and operation of network systems.
- Provide technical support for network access in data centers and IT infrastructure, focusing on internal network health and utilization.
- Manage Wi-Fi services and ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
- Oversee hardware and software inventory, system upgrades, and acquisitions.
- Liaise with user departments for project planning and management related to IT infrastructure and network access.
- Prepare budget plans based on hardware and software requirements for IT services.
- Implement IT infrastructure projects and establish architectural standards with various stakeholders.
- Participate in network performance troubleshooting and enhancement initiatives.
- Work with different network technologies, including BGP, OSPF, RIP, and SD-WAN.
- Contribute to the Joint Universities Computer Centre's Network Task Force and perform ad hoc assignments as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years managing Wi-Fi, firewall systems, and network operations.
- Knowledge and experience with networking protocols and technologies such as Linux, Radius, DNS, DHCP, IPv4, and IPv6.
- Familiarity with various brands of routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi systems, with preferred experience in Huawei, Aruba, Palo-Alto, CheckPoint, Juniper, and Cisco products.
- Experience with Juniper MIST AIOps, Radware, Allot, and Infoblox is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both spoken and written English and Cantonese.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and highly motivated with strong leadership capabilities.
