Maintenance Technician
Location: Shannon, Ireland
Schedule: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) - Potential to transition to 4-shift schedule.
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic, innovative start-up based in Shannon, Ireland.
This company manufactures packaging for multinational companies, with a strong focus on innovation, team growth, and continuous improvement.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of machinery, participating in new implementations, and driving improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain machinery efficiency and supervise production lines.
- Plan and execute maintenance inspections, renovations, and repairs.
- Ensure proper documentation for machines and devices.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance.
- Take proactive measures to increase machine safety and efficiency.
- Manage spare parts stock and supervise maintenance costs.
- Collaborate with external service companies when required.
- Participate in continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
- Support the start-up and implementation of new machines and production lines.
Key Requirements:
- Open-minded, with a readiness to contribute to setting up new organisational structures.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the company.
- Ability to work in a three-shift schedule in the future.
- Strong understanding of following procedures and working in a structured manner.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- High engagement, with an understanding of the team's goals.
- Knowledge of electricity, automation, mechanics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to read and interpret machinery and equipment documentation, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams.
- Experience in the start-up of new machines and production lines would be an advantage.
