About the Opportunity:
Morgan McKinley is thrilled to partner with a pioneering global technology group poised to expand its finance team with a newly created, impactful role: ESG Manager. This exciting position will be integral in establishing and leading the organisation's ESG strategy, residing within the finance function.

Principal Responsibilities:
- Strategic ESG Integration: Spearhead the development and implementation of our ESG strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and best-practice industry standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee continuous adherence to pertinent ESG regulations, notably CSRD and other significant frameworks.
- Sustainability Reporting: Architect and oversee robust processes for the collection and reporting of accurate and transparent ESG data.
- Carbon and Energy Optimization: Champion the creation of strategies for carbon reduction and energy efficiency across the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivate strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate the effective implementation of ESG initiatives.
- Mentorship and Development: Guide and mentor junior team members, nurturing their expertise in ESG and sustainability.
- Audit and Assurance: Support internal and external ESG audits, implementing necessary controls to safeguard the integrity of our data and processes.
- Emerging ESG Trends: Maintain a keen awareness of the latest ESG trends, regulations, and sustainability legislation, providing expert counsel to the business on their implications.
- Change Management: Lead the adoption of new ESG reporting tools and processes to optimize data management and reporting efficiency.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Finance). Master's degree preferred. Qualified Accountant is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in corporate sustainability reporting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, GHG Protocol, CSRD, TCFD, EU Taxonomy).
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and validation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives and presentations.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in sustainability reporting software and tools.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change.
