We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager - P2P Disbursements to lead the operational execution of payment processes across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico (Zone 1). This individual will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient P2P (Procure-to-Pay) disbursements, driving operational excellence, and being the go-to expert for all related processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive operational excellence for Zone 1 payment processes on a daily basis, ensuring seamless execution and compliance
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to the disbursements team on all aspects of the P2P disbursement process
- Handle front-line technical disbursements queries and support the team with troubleshooting, issue resolution, and escalation
- Own and manage the end-to-end P2P disbursements process, including governance of banking relationships related to disbursements
- Process manual payments, manage SAP processing, and oversee bank transfers, handling multiple currency bank accounts in close coordination with banking partners
- Collaborate with Treasury, Corporate Finance, Tax, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure risk and exposure are minimized, and business needs are met in a timely manner
- Oversee the Cash in Transit process for P2P disbursements within Zone 1
- Support the disbursements team by providing coverage during team member absences and training new team members
- Maintain and update all relevant documentation and ensure that it aligns with the latest operational practices
- Work with IT and technical teams to drive improvements and resolve issues related to disbursement processes
- Review key performance metrics and communicate progress to stakeholders, identifying and implementing initiatives for continuous improvement
- Serve as the point of contact for global P2P projects, collaborating with the Global Process Owner and Project Delivery Coordinator to align initiatives with the broader P2P vision
- Conduct quality reviews, root cause analysis, and implement solutions to resolve process issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in P2P disbursements or similar financial operations roles
- In-depth knowledge of payment processes, banking relationships, and multi-currency bank accounts
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage complex payment-related issues
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams including Treasury, Finance, Tax, Legal, and IT departments
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and support team members and collaborate with senior management
- Ability to review, analyse, and communicate key metrics to ensure the achievement of KPIs and continuous process improvements
- Prior experience in global or large-scale disbursements operations is highly desirable
