    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare monthly management accounts for administrative expenditure, including variance analysis and commentary.
    • Assist with quarterly financial reports for internal stakeholders and external funding bodies.
    • Review and approve purchase and sales invoices, ensuring correct cost centre and coding.
    • Support the Accounts Payable function by verifying and posting supplier invoices, employee expenses, and credit card transactions.
    • Conduct monthly transaction reviews and process accruals, prepayments, and journals.
    • Maintain and update annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
    • Prepare monthly reports for budget holders and assist in budget vs. actual reviews.
    • Engage in financial reporting for internal audit, statutory audit, and regulatory compliance.
    • Support continuous process improvement and contribute to the development of finance policies and procedures.

    What You'll Need

    • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or at least 3 years of experience in a strong finance role.
    • Experience preparing monthly management accounts and variance analysis with clear, actionable commentary.
    • Strong core accounting skills, including preparing P&L and balance sheets from trial balance.
    • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards of accuracy.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of other MS Office applications.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a finance team.
    • Strong communication skills, capable of presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and follow established financial procedures.
    • High degree of integrity, reliability, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
