Morgan McKinley has partnered with a large financial services client as the look to hire a Data Engineer (ETL) due to growth. This client is the the largest automobile financial services provider in Europe.
The client is looking for an experinced Data Engineer that would specialise in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development with expertise in SAP BODS (Business Objects Data Services) and/or Informatica.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust ETL processes to support our data integration and analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- ETL Development: Design, develop, and optimise ETL workflows using SAP BODS and Informatica to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse.
- Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimise ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and workflows.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve data-related issues and provide support for data integration and ETL processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in ETL development with a strong focus on SAP BODS and/or Informatica.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SAP BODS and/or Informatica PowerCenter.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) is a plus.
