An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a dynamic finance team based in North Dublin. This role offers the chance to work with a leading global company, playing a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, and audit processes while supporting business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Provide meaningful variance analysis and commentary against budget and forecasts
- Manage and produce statutory financial statements for multiple entities
- Oversee the annual budget preparation and forecasting process
- Act as the main point of contact for audits, liaising with internal and external auditors
- Reconcile IFRS 16 entries and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and treasury functions, including cash forecasting and treasury postings
- Work closely with operations and finance teams across different locations to ensure timely reporting and financial accuracy
- Supervise and mentor a finance assistant, supporting their development
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) with a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience in financial accounting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards, with experience in statutory reporting and audit processes
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong proficiency in financial systems, with experience in SAP or Oracle being an advantage
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience managing or mentoring finance professionals
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
