Fund Accounting Manager
Our client, a leading global investment management firm, is looking for a skilled Fund Accounting Manager to join their team. This position will focus on overseeing the accounting and administration of European public funds, with particular emphasis on mutual funds, distribution processes, and managing relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the funds and providing top-tier service to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting and administration of European public funds, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Oversee the distribution process, including dividend payments to shareholders, and ensure proper governance in the distribution process.
- Act as a point of contact for both internal teams and external partners, addressing fund accounting inquiries and maintaining smooth communication.
- Work closely with third-party providers to ensure high-quality and efficient fund administration services.
- Collaborate with business development teams to support initiatives and expand mutual fund distribution efforts.
- Support various fund-related events, including fund launches and liquidations, ensuring operational continuity throughout.
- Lead projects aimed at improving internal processes, developing new procedures, and enhancing systems to improve overall efficiency.
Requirements:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in fund accounting, ideally within investment management. Exposure to mutual fund operations is highly valued.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on delivering high-quality results and exceptional client service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential; knowledge of Microsoft VBA is a plus.
- Effective communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels and maintain strong relationships.
- Ability to adapt and work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to manage complex fund accounting tasks and improve processes.
