A leading food retail, wholesale, and foodservice company is seeking an Internal Audit & Risk Business Partner to join its Internal Audit & Risk team. This role provides valuable insight into all aspects of the company's operations and offers a strong foundation for long-term career growth within the organization.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit & Risk, the successful candidate will support the delivery of independent assurance, advisory, and risk management services across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assurance reviews of operational and financial controls
- Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of the control environment
- Develop value-adding solutions to address identified risks
- Prepare reports for senior review and engage with key stakeholders
- Monitor and provide assurance on remediation actions for risk management
- Support risk management initiatives and ad-hoc projects
- Build strong internal relationships to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing
This role requires occasional travel across Ireland, Great Britain, and Spain to support audit activities and stakeholder engagement.
Key Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in internal/external audit or internal controls
- Strong knowledge of risk, governance, and internal control best practices
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Full driving license
Desirable:
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA, etc.)
- Experience in Retail, Wholesale, or FMCG industries
- Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI)
- IT assurance or ESG/CSRD advisory experience
- Proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal)
