The Senior Financial Accountant will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for financial accounting, reporting, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A). The role includes both internal and group reporting of expenses and requires collaboration within a team while working independently when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete the month-end process for expenses, including reconciling financial ledgers and source data
- Analyse actual expenses versus budgets and forecasts to identify surpluses or deficits
- Prepare reports, KPI analysis, and presentations for stakeholders
- Develop annual expense budgets and support finance manager with productivity tracking
- Review and update financial procedures to ensure they reflect best practices
- Evaluate and suggest process improvements for automation and efficiency
Requirements/ Qualifications
- Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) and 1-3 years PQE
- Strong technical accounting expertise with accurate output delivery under tight deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, large data manipulation, VBAs, and Macros
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Desirable: Big 4 qualification, financial services experience, insurance accounting knowledge, and SAP General Ledger experience
