Overview
We're National Broadband Ireland and we're delivering the largest telecommunications project that Ireland has ever seen. We're designing, building and operating Ireland's new, high-speed wholesale broadband network under the National Broadband Plan. Our aim is to radically transform the country's broadband landscape through the delivery of quality, affordable high-speed broadband to all parts of Ireland where such services are not available commercially.
The NBI™ network using a combination of State subsidy and commercial investment will deliver high-speed broadband to over 1.1 million people and over 569,000 premises in Ireland. No matter how remote or rural, no town, village or community will be left behind. NBI will be responsible for the management of the new national broadband network for the next 25 years.
Key Objectives / Accountabilities:
NBI is seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Acquisition Lead to join our mission-driven organisation. In this role, you will spearhead the transformation of our recruitment function, transitioning from an agency-based model to a fully integrated in-house team. You will be responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies, managing the end-to-end recruitment process, and supporting the onboarding of new hires. Additionally, you will coordinate day-to-day activities, ensuring a seamless experience for both hiring managers and candidates. Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and set up NBI's in-house recruitment function, transitioning from an agency model.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent across all departments.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding new hires.
- Align recruitment practices with NBI's competitive compensation and benefits offerings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Working with hiring managers to define role requirements, identifying recruitment channels, sourcing, screening, interviewing and assessing candidates, monitoring pipelines through to negotiation and candidate acceptance.
- Understanding organisation talent needs across all business units and collaborating with stakeholders for effective execution of requirements.
- Maintaining recruitment systems on a daily basis so as to ensure information is kept up-to-date.
- Identify and attract talent into the business from a wide variety of on and off line sources (e.g. social networks, executive recruitment, developing networking channels etc.
- Own and manage the internal recruitment process including NBI referral scheme.
- In collaboration with the HR Administrator, ensure new starter paperwork is completed for all new hires, including but not limited to, right to work, references, company car checklists, qualifications etc.
- Manage NBI's recruitment email inbox.
- Weekly and month recruitment reports to be completed outlining recruitment statistics, updates etc.
- Leading and managing the interview process with stakeholders including post interview evaluations with hiring managers and/or business HR as appropriate and providing interview feedback to unsuccessful candidates as requested.
- Look to develop a pipeline of talent across the business to support future growth to bring a more strategic focus to recruitment.
- Support end to end recruitment to ensure timely turnaround times and first class brand experience.
- Collaborate closely with the HR function during organisational change programmes to deliver high-quality internal recruitment and selection campaigns.
- Support HR, Culture, and Engagement programmes across NBI, as needed, to enhance organisational success.
- Continuously evaluate and improve NBI's recruitment processes and systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of key recruitment statistics and trends within the technology and telecommunications sectors to ensure NBI's recruitment strategies remain competitive.
- Maintain a keen interest in and knowledge of Human Resources trends and regulations in Ireland to ensure compliance and best practices are adhered to within the recruitment function.
Knowledge & Experience:
The successful candidate will need prior experience with the following.
- The successful candidate will have 5+ years' experience in recruitment.
- Experience working within a recruitment agency, or as an in-house talent acquisition specialist.
- Professional qualification preferably in Human Resources.
- Understanding of the telecommunications sector.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
