Maintenance Technician - Galway
About the Role
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the setup and maintenance of automated vial and syringe filling equipment, as well as the maintenance and repair of plant utilities. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with an electrical or mechanical background who thrives in a regulated environment.
📍 Location: Galway
📅 Shifts: Preferably evening shift (15:00 - 23:30), but morning shift also available if preferred

Key Responsibilities
- Setup, planned maintenance, and fault-finding on automated vial and syringe filling equipment.
- Maintain plant equipment and utilities while ensuring all work meets GMP standards.
- Manage external contractors during installations and planned service visits.
- Oversee spare parts, consumables, and services to maintain compliance.
- Develop and implement Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) strategies using tools like Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA/FMEA).
- Support the creation and modification of maintenance and calibration documentation (PMs, troubleshooting guides, work instructions).
- Assist in investigating electrical and mechanical issues on-site.
- Ensure maintenance procedures comply with cGMP and EHS regulations.
- Be flexible to work shifts and occasional overtime/on-call duties as required.
What We're Looking For
✔ Education: Certification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (Electrical preferred)
✔ Experience: in a maintenance role (cleanroom experience is a plus)
✔ Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work with technical documentation and GMP standards
- Experience with computer systems (Word, Excel, PM systems)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
