Our client is a specialist tax offering tax compliance and advisory services to a domestic and international client base. They operate on a fully remote basis affording the Tax Consultant the opportunity to be based anywhere in Ireland. Our client is also open to the idea of a reduced working week e.g. 4 days.
The Tax Consultant will have responsibility for a portfolio of clients supporting the preparation of accurate and compliant tax returns while ensuring adherence to regulations and delivering exceptional client service. This position involves tax filings, managing client data, and involvement with tax planning advice.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws.
- Advise on residency, domicile, cross-border mobility, and tax-efficient structuring of income, equity, and pensions.
- Assist with business succession, estate planning, and wealth preservation.
- Liaise with tax authorities on assessments, audits, and disputes.
- Build strong client relationships, providing proactive tax solutions.
- Collaborate with HR, payroll, and legal teams on global mobility issues.
- Stay updated on tax legislation and conduct research on complex international tax matters.
Skills and Experience:
- CTA Qualified.
- Circa 2 years PQE within a tax advisory role.
- Strong working knowledge of personal tax and/or global mobility.
- Ability to work independently given this is a remote role.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent client relationship skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
