Audit Senior

Morgan McKinley is supporting a dynamic accountancy practice in Cork who are seeking an Audit Senior to join the team.

In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing client audits and contributing to the continued success of the firm.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of audit staff, providing coaching and mentorship to ensure their professional development.
• Plan, conduct, and review audits for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.
• Ensure adherence to International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and maintain the highest standards of quality control.
• Build strong relationships with clients, effectively communicating audit findings and recommendations.
• Identify and manage risks associated with client engagements.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of audit methodologies and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date on current accounting standards and regulations.
• Participate in business development initiatives to help secure new clients.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in audit in Ireland, with a proven track record of managing teams and delivering high-quality audits.
• Strong understanding of International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with audit software (e.g., Caseware, ACL) a plus.
