Accounting Manager - International Payroll
Lead the payroll accounting team within a dynamic global biopharmaceutical company. Responsible for all aspects of payroll accounting, ensuring ledger integrity and financial compliance across EMEA, APAC, and the US. Key duties include managing the month-end close, account analysis, reconciliations, and leading payroll audits. Requires strong stakeholder management, excellent communication skills, and experience in a multi-country, shared services payroll environment. People management experience essential. Qualified Accountant or equivalent with in-depth knowledge of accounting policies and SOX compliance. Experience with Oracle/SAP and strong Microsoft skills beneficial. Ability to travel if required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage payroll accounting team and all associated requirements.
- Maintain ledger integrity and ensure financial compliance.
- Manage the accounting close and financial reporting process for payroll.
- Lead audits and coordinate balance sheet reviews.
- Act as key payroll contact for major markets.
- Lead Blackline reconciliations and support tax queries.
- Ensure Accounting SOX Compliance.
- Manage performance and development of staff.
Requirements:
- Payroll accounting experience in a multi-country environment.
- Experience in a shared services payroll environment.
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance.
- Proven people management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-starter with strong initiative and integrity.
- Experience within a Multinational Company preferred.
- Working knowledge of Oracle/SAP beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel if required.
