Facilities Engineer

A client based in Limerick is seeking a Facilities Engineer to join their team on a 12-month hourly rate contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support, troubleshooting, and expertise to the Facilities Operations, Utilities, and HVAC teams.
• Design, specify, and oversee the commissioning of new and upgraded biopharmaceutical utilities and HVAC systems, while managing small to mid-sized projects in these areas.
• Design and specify cGMP clean and grey utilities, as well as HVAC systems.
• Handle troubleshooting of complex plant equipment and related systems, recommending corrective actions as needed.
• Assist in the design review, site acceptance, and installation processes for equipment.
• Support the QA Validation team by preparing design documentation and assisting with protocol execution.
• Investigate utility system issues and control system anomalies, and implement corrective or preventative measures.
• Prepare engineering evaluations and test plans, and execute change control documentation for modifications.
• Interpret P&IDs, system layouts, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications when planning maintenance and repairs.

Skills & Experience:

• Level 8 or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Strong background in Utilities systems and HVAC.
• Availability to work on-site five days a week.
