We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team on a maternity cover fixed-term contract. In this role, you will ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards in a regulated manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Site Director, you will manage EHS programs, provide leadership, and ensure the site's operations align with corporate and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Compliance:
- Lead and manage the EHS team, providing clear direction and support.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and corporate EHS regulations, standards, and policies.
- Maintain and improve ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
Program Development and Execution:
- Develop and implement EHS programs and initiatives to enhance safety culture and environmental stewardship.
- Manage the site's waste, energy, and water management strategies in line with sustainability goals.
- Provide expertise in process safety management and occupational health programs.
Risk Management:
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for processes and equipment.
- Oversee incident investigation processes to ensure root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensure emergency response plans are in place, communicated, and regularly tested.
Training and Engagement:
- Deliver training programs to employees to improve awareness and understanding of EHS practices.
- Collaborate with department heads to integrate EHS considerations into daily operations and decision-making.
Reporting and Metrics:
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, ensuring alignment with corporate and local objectives.
- Prepare and submit required documentation and reports to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in an EHS role within a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, chemical, medical device, food).
- Proven experience managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for environmental, health, and safety compliance.
- Skills:
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical skills with attention to detail for effective problem-solving.
- Certifications: NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma, IOSH Membership, or equivalent is preferred
