We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager of Visual Inspection within a Biopharma operations team.
This role offers the chance to work at a leading biologics manufacturing facility located in the West of Ireland, known for its advanced capabilities in aseptic sterile manufacturing.
The Senior Manager of Visual Inspection will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the visual inspection process at our manufacturing site. This includes ensuring that all visual inspections are performed in line with quality standards and are completed on time and within budget. The role involves managing the visual inspection team and collaborating with various departments to ensure the timely inspection and release of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and quality of visual inspection for both commercial and new product introduction (NPI) products.
- Lead and manage the visual inspection team, including recruitment, performance evaluation, and development.
- Collaborate with other departments to align visual inspection schedules and ensure the timely delivery of inspected products.
- Ensure the visual inspection process meets all relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, review, and maintain inspection criteria and limits.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications:
- A relevant Level 8/Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science-related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Over 5 years of management experience, preferably in a visual inspection capacity.
- Strong knowledge of visual inspection techniques and materials.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with packaging regulatory requirements.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
