My client, based in Clonmel, is seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant who is eager to grow within a manufacturing environment and engage at a senior level across multiple factory locations. Competitive salary and benefits package for the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate supporting documentation.
- Compile and analyse weekly production reports, including variance analysis for management insights.
- Assess and compare standard costing versus actual costings for all products.
- Manage intercompany recharges, including communication, posting, and reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
- Prepare and submit all regulatory, tax, and statistical returns within required deadlines.
- Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual budgets.
- Oversee stock control and reconciliations across multiple stock locations.
- Contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the stock management system and IT system developments.
- Liaise with external auditors as required.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure financial alignment with business objectives.
- Maintain a strong financial control environment at all times.
- Continuously review, improve, and automate standardized finance processes.
- Support in the preparation of grants and R&D tax credit claims.
- Lead and develop the AR/AP team, ensuring performance management and professional development.
- Act as the escalation point for more complex AP/AR issues.
- Contribute to finance team initiatives and handle ad hoc reporting as needed.
Key Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualified accountant with 1-2 years of industry experience in a similar role.
- Proven leadership skills to oversee and develop the accounting administration team.
- Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Excel; knowledge of Insight is an advantage.
- Strong interest in the manufacturing sector with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Excellent communication skills, both in-person and over the phone, with the ability to engage directly with Operations and Supply Chain teams.
- Highly accurate and detail-oriented when handling financial data.
