A leading manufacturing company based in Co. Waterford has an exciting opportunity for a QC Technician with 1 - 2 years' industry experience. Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor the QC Technician will evaluate and report on technical & quality metrics to ensure products meet the required regulatory and customer requirements.
12 month Fixed Term Contract.
Duties will include:
- Undertake, record and report on factory production control quality assurance checks for incoming raw materials to finished product
- Monitor production processes to ensure they adhere to quality standards and provide feedback to production teams
- Work closely with production teams, process engineers, and supervisors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Conducting product testing, inputting data into the database, and analysing quality results to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
- Support R&D and innovation projects, Plan, Test and Report.
- Support cross-functional teams across departments driving performance excellence, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document any noncompliance and ensure that recorded compliance issues are resolved and corrected.
- Assist with technical administration functions via Q-Pulse as required * Ensure 6S is applied to all work areas and equipment.
- Support environmental department with the monitoring and testing of water samples across the site.
- Improve product guidelines / documentation and standard work procedures
- Assist external testing requirements for new products.
- Ensure testing, measuring and monitoring equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained as per company calibration schedule
- Conduct Internal IMS audits as part of company auditing schedule
- Promote a culture of Quality within the company
- Deliver Quality related training to process departments as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Third level qualification in a relevant science or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- A strong track record of team work in quality control is essential
- Excellent communication, organisational & interpersonal skills required
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work on one's own initiative
- Demonstrate excellent IT skills.
- Creativity, Flexibility, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
