Group Financial Accountant
We are partnering with a leading construction and property company in Ireland to recruit an experienced Group Financial Accountant. This is a Senior appointment working closely with the CFO, CEO and Executive Management team and play a key role in strategic decision-making. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team at their Cork Head Office, focusing on the financial management of Property Investment and Property Development business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, including budgets and forecasts.
- Analyse key financial metrics such as revenue, costs, profit, cash flow, and return on investment.
- Model various financial scenarios to support strategic investment decisions.
- Prepare detailed quarterly reports for asset advisors, bank reports, and board meetings.
- Oversee the annual audit process, liaising with administrators and auditors, and ensuring timely completion of statutory financial statements.
- Prepare and update annual and monthly cashflow budgets and forecasts for the development group.
- Manage financial models for ongoing and future development projects, including cost analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Revenue regulations and financial policies.
- Support the finance department with ad hoc duties as needed to facilitate business growth.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Fully qualified accountant with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Industry experience in property or construction is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A proactive, positive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
