An established FMCG company is seeking a skilled Electrician to join their team.
This role is vital for maintaining the electrical integrity of the production environment.
The role will be in a 3 Shift or 4 Shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting machine fault finding, repairs, and problem-solving to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
- Performing repairs on buildings and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Carrying out preventive maintenance procedures to minimise downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
- Troubleshooting various electrical tasks as required, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Engaging in PLC programming and troubleshooting to support automation processes.
- Assisting in the commissioning of projects, contributing to successful project implementations.
- Maintaining accurate records of scheduled maintenance and documenting data for compliance and review.
- Collaborating with the team to identify areas for continuous improvement in processes and equipment performance.
- Skillfully reading and interpreting blueprints and assembly instructions to execute tasks accurately.
- Understanding occupational hazards and safety precautions to ensure a safe working environment.
- Responding promptly to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a qualified electrician, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
- A thorough understanding of responsibilities under Safety, Health, and Welfare regulations.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- An enthusiastic and self-motivated approach to work, demonstrating flexibility in a shift rotation basis.
Educational/Training Requirements:
- Relevant electrical qualifications with a background in industrial maintenance.
- Computer literacy is essential; experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMM) or SAP is advantageous.
Salary and Benefits:
- Hourly rate (above union rates) plus shift bonus.
