Senior Commercial Account Executive - Leading Global Firm, Munster
Are you a highly experienced (5+ years) and technically proficient Commercial Insurance professional seeking a significant leadership opportunity within a globally recognised advisory, broking, and solutions company in the Munster region?
As a Senior Commercial Account Executive, you will manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of key commercial clients, understanding their businesses and providing expert insurance and risk management advice. Your deep technical knowledge will be crucial in designing and implementing tailored solutions. You will also actively contribute to new business development, working with colleagues to identify opportunities and deliver integrated solutions. Mentoring and guiding the broking service team, and driving continuous improvement initiatives will also be key aspects of this senior role.
Key Duties Include:
- Client Relationship Management: Developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders within client organisations
- Needs Assessment: Understanding clients' businesses in-depth to identify their insurance and risk management needs effectively
- Technical Expertise: Providing expert technical advice and guidance on a wide range of commercial insurance products and solutions
- Solution Development: Designing and implementing tailored insurance programmes that meet clients' specific requirements
- Market Liaison: Effectively liaising with insurance carriers to negotiate optimal terms and coverage for clients
- Renewal Management: Proactively managing the renewal process to ensure high-quality service and favourable outcomes for clients
- New Business Development: Actively participating in the sales process, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the Munster market
- Pipeline Management: Developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of prospects using relevant CRM systems
- Cross-Selling: Collaborating with colleagues across different business lines to identify and capitalise on cross-selling opportunities
- Team Collaboration: Working alongside and providing guidance to the Broking service team to ensure efficient and effective client service delivery
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing best practice systems and processes to enhance service quality and efficiency
We are looking for someone with:
- A minimum of 5 years' proven experience in a client-facing commercial insurance broking role (e.g., Account Director, Senior Account Executive)
- Strong technical expertise and a comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance products and markets
- A track record of delivering exceptional client service and building long-term relationships
- Experience in new business development and a demonstrable ability to convert prospects
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Relevant professional qualifications (CIP essential, ACII advantageous)
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a global organisation
- A strong commitment to professional standards and best practices
- Based in or commutable to the Munster area
