Morgan McKinley are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our client in Dublin.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization, preferably within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a proactive professional who can drive procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure the continuous supply of quality materials while maintaining cost efficiency.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and supplier performance.
- Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluation.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry regulations, and sustainability initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply.
- Drive cost savings initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new trends, opportunities, and risks in the supply chain.
- Lead RFQ and RFP processes, ensuring competitive pricing and value.
- Maintain and update procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and supplier performance.
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in procurement with a track record of strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier management skills.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
