Morgan McKinley are excited to be partnering with a Public Sector Client on a Specialist contract role across renewable energy!
Location: Dublin, Dundalk, Cork or Sligo (office locations in all 4)
Hybrid working: 2 days onsite + 3 WFH
Contract: 18 months
The Renewable Energy Consenting Monitoring Specialist will play a critical role in shaping and implementing the essential monitoring function established under the EU Renewable Energy Directive II (2018) and the Red III recast (2023).
Key Requirements:
- Sector Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of the energy sector, particularly in energy efficiency and renewable energy as applied to business and industry, is highly advantageous.
- Regulatory Experience: Hands-on experience with Ireland's renewable energy consenting regime, including its legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with the design and development of web-based portals to support information sharing and process management.
- Project Management: A recognised qualification in project management.
- Public Sector Experience: Prior experience working within or alongside public sector organisations.
- Collaborative Approach: Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage projects that involve a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
This role demands a unique combination of sectoral knowledge, regulatory insight, technical acumen, and collaborative skills to contribute to a pivotal function in advancing renewable energy initiatives.
Essential Requirements:
To be considered successful, candidates must demonstrate the following:
- A degree (Level 7 on the NFQ) or an equivalent qualification in Engineering, Science, Business, or Economics.
- At least 4 years of experience in this or a related field, or in a comparable role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, including proficiency in report writing, delivering presentations, public speaking, and simplifying complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
- A strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a flexible approach to collaboration.
