Key Responsibilities
- Execute online brokerage lifecycle processes, ensuring accurate and timely trade settlements.
- Monitor and verify securities transactions, promptly resolving any settlement discrepancies.
- Review trade matching reports, addressing failed trades efficiently.
- Ensure sufficient funding for trade settlements and corporate action processing.
- Reconcile trade shares and corporate actions across equities and other financial instruments.
- Adhere to and improve control procedures, identifying and resolving policy gaps.
- Analyze operational data to recommend new products, services, or platform upgrades.
- Manage escalations, inquiries, and errors while implementing efficiency-driven process improvements.
- Participate in project initiatives, user acceptance testing (UAT), and system enhancements.
- Support global operational changes to optimize business functions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in equities and/or derivatives operations.
- Background in trade support or settlements within brokerage firms, custodians, banks, or clearing houses.
Technical & Industry Skills:
- Strong knowledge of trade settlements, corporate actions, and operational risk management.
- Experience in analyzing operational workflows and improving process efficiency.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Fluent (required for communication and operational tasks).
- English: Business-level (for reporting and collaboration).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of brokerage lifecycle management systems and financial regulations.
- Experience in project-based process improvements and system upgrades.
