We are looking for an experienced Voice Engineer with good experience in design, implementation, and support of voice and telephony infrastructure across the Asia Pacific region. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of unified communications platforms, trader voice systems, and voice security best practices, particularly within financial or enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support voice and telephony infrastructure, including IP telephony, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Expressway, BT/IPC Trader Voice systems, voice recording platforms, and mobile voice services.
- Ensure voice and telecom services across Asia Pacific meet business expectations for stability, performance, and resilience.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and call quality; proactively optimize to ensure high availability and superior user experience.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and SOPs for voice infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for voice systems.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex voice-related issues, resolving incidents quickly and effectively.
- Manage vendor relationships for voice infrastructure, including hardware, software, and service providers.
- Deliver training and support to end-users on voice systems and features.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle of voice platforms, including upgrades and decommissioning.
- Ensure compliance with global standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide escalation-level support for critical issues and assist in root cause analysis and remediation.
- Lead or participate in regional network and voice infrastructure projects from planning through execution.
- Engineer and streamline operational workflows for improved efficiency.
- Collaborate with business units and IT teams to provide consultation and operational support.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in technical voice operations, preferably within investment banking, financial services, or large enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity, and related systems.
- Working knowledge of Trader Voice platforms (e.g., BT ITS) and voice recording technologies.
- Solid understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, RTP, SRTP), TCP/IP networking, and QoS implementation.
- Experience with SIP trunking, PSTN connectivity, and voice security best practices.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver regional projects successfully.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
