Morgan McKinley are working with a boutique investment manager based in the City who are hiring for an Event Manager on a 14 month Fixed-Term Contract basis.
Kindly note: This is an urgent role, and they are ideally looking for someone to start in April 2025
Key Responsibilities of Event Manager:
- Lead end-to-end event planning, from conceptualisation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and target audiences.
- Develop and implement a KPI framework to track and evaluate event success, providing insights and analysis on ROI.
- Stay updated on event best practices and emerging formats (e.g., digital, hybrid, interactive) to provide expert advice to the team.
- Ensure event themes, topics, and venues align with the overall brand strategy.
- Select and manage suppliers to ensure successful event execution within agreed terms.
- Work within budgets and negotiate costs for the best value.
- Attend events on-site, confidently managing logistics and coordinating support staff for larger events.
- Oversee the entire digital platform for event planning and delegate experience.
- Promote events on digital platforms (website, social media) and analyse impact to refine targeting and registration strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing to leverage event content across PR and other communication channels.
- Keep the wider business informed about event activities through internal channels like the intranet, newsletters, and meetings.
- Lead marketing efforts for a specific business area, working closely with the Marketing Strategy & Planning team.
Skills and Experience of Event Manger:
- Previous events experience, preferably in financial services or related sectors (IFA, wealth management, etc.).
- Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with a client-focused approach.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with team members, senior stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Flexible with work hours and willing to travel when required.
- Proficient in email marketing and automation tools.
