Morgan McKinley is partnering with a well-established Top 40 accounting firm in Central London, which is growing its Private Client Tax team. This is a senior-level role where you'll manage a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth clients and work closely with seven experienced partners on a range of fascinating tax matters. The work is a mix of compliance and advisory, with a strong focus on non-UK domiciled clients, offshore structures, and strategic tax planning. On top of that, you'll have the chance to lead and mentor a talented team, shaping the future of the department.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing a varied portfolio of private clients, including HNWIs, non-doms, sole traders, partnerships, and offshore trusts.
- Advising clients on inheritance tax planning, residence and domicile rules, pre-arrival tax planning, and offshore structures.
- Meeting clients, building strong relationships, and providing proactive, strategic advice.
- Liaising with HMRC on inquiries and helping clients navigate disclosure processes.
- Reviewing tax returns and ensuring all compliance work is of the highest standard.
- Training and mentoring junior team members, helping them grow in their careers.
- Getting involved in business development, attending networking events, and contributing to the firm's thought leadership.
What We're Looking For
- CTA qualified with at least 5 years' experience in private client tax.
- A solid understanding of non-doms, offshore structures, and international tax matters.
- A confident communicator who enjoys working with clients and building relationships.
- Strong organisational skills-you're great at juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
- Some team management experience, or a strong desire to step into a leadership role.
- A commercial mindset-you understand the bigger picture and how tax fits into it.
