We have an opportunity for an experienced Technical Services Chemist. The primary purpose of this role is to provide an efficient technical support services to both internal and external customers. Supporting and reporting to the Quality Director.
Duties & Responsibilities to Include: -
- Provision of technical support to both in-house colleagues and customers including daily attendance at Operations Meeting, troubleshooting current issues and suggesting efficiencies and improvements.
- Logical trouble shooting skills for processes and systems.
- Supporting the provision of internal Calibration Services.
- Contribute to maintenance of current accreditations (equipment and procedures) and expansion of scope as required.
- Development of new products/services.
- Analytical method development and validation.
- Customer complaint investigation.
- Technical contribution at daily operations meeting.
- Input for technical training and seminars.
- Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Quality Director, or any member of the SLT.
- Hands on R&D experience.
Requirements to Include: -
- 3rd level science qualification is mandatory, preferably chemistry.
- Need R&D experience.
- In depth understanding of ISO9001, ISO17025 and ISO17034.
- Calibrations experience.
- 2+ years' experience in a similar position.
