They are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting & Audit Assistant Manager to join the team.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to a Partner, the Assistant Manager will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. This role offers excellent opportunities for career progression within the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing audit and accounting assignments, ensuring they are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Planning and executing audit fieldwork, including risk assessment, testing, and documentation.
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, Irish GAAP).
- Managing budgets and deadlines for client engagements.
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Identifying and addressing client needs and providing proactive solutions.
- Keeping up-to-date with current accounting and auditing regulations and standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an Irish accountancy practice is mandatory. Applications without this experience will not be considered.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
- Experience in planning and executing audits.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
- A proactive and client-focused approach.
