Clerk of Works - Public Construction Projects

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Clerk of Works to oversee public construction projects across Cork and Kerry. You'll act as the eyes and ears on site for our clients, ensuring that all work is carried out to the required quality standards, on time, and in line with specifications and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular site inspections to ensure construction meets design, specification, and quality standards
• Monitor contractor performance and compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements
• Report any issues, defects, or non-compliance promptly to the client and project team
• Liaise with contractors, engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth site operations
• Review and approve materials and workmanship on site
• Maintain accurate site records, photographs, and reports
• Attend site meetings and provide technical input as required

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Clerk of Works or in a site inspection / quality assurance role on public construction projects
• Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, construction standards, and H&S requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites across Cork & Kerry
• Full driving licence
