Data Engineer

My client is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join their incredible organisation, based in Cork. This is permanent role with a hybrid working model.

A Data Engineer with:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering roles
  
  
• Proficient in PL/SQL for data transformation and querying
  
  
• Strong experience with ETL processes and pipeline optimization
  
  
• Deep knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices
  
  
• Expertise in data modeling (both logical and physical)
  
  
• Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and dashboard development
  
  
• Solid experience working with Oracle databases
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines
  
  
• Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to understand data needs
  
  
• Create and optimize data models for analytical and reporting purposes
  
  
• Build dashboards and reports using Power BI to deliver actionable insights
  
  
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across systems
  
  
• Support and maintain large-scale data warehouse environments
  
  

Additional skills

• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  
  
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation
