Financial Accountant

I am working with a fast growing business in Cork who is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Qualified Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team for a 12 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who is eager to take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
* Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
* Oversee tax compliance, including VAT, corporate tax, and payroll taxes.
* Maintain and improve internal financial controls and reporting systems.
* Liaise with auditors, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
* Support business process improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Requirements:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
* Minimum 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
* Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
