We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a highly respected civil engineering contractor for an exciting new project in Donegal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of quantity surveying for civil engineering projects, ensuring cost efficiency and value for money.
- Prepare detailed bills of quantities, cost estimates, and budgets for civil works.
- Conduct site measurements, assessments, and valuations to determine project progress and resource requirements.
- Work closely with the project management team to monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare tender submissions and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Handle change orders, variations, and contract claims efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare reports for senior management on project cost performance and forecast budgets.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering/construction sector
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering contracts (e.g., NEC, FIDIC) and industry standards.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Valid driving license
