JOB TITLE: Business Analyst - FTE (23 months)
We are working with a leading financial services institution to add a Business Analyst to their expanding team.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to document high-quality business requirements and process flows, with a solid understanding of our system architecture and capabilities. This role will be instrumental in driving key transformational projects, including a new Operating Model, a new Point of Sale and CMS projects.
The role of the Business Analyst is a central project role that will support the documentation, definition and analysis of requirements towards development of new systems to support the delivery of our client's strategic and commercial objectives. You will be responsible for working within core project teams to capture and document robust business requirements by leading facilitation workshops with key users. You will work to translate these detailed requirements, providing analysis of complex requirements and troubleshooting solutions with key stakeholders. Requirements to be provided in detailed process flow maps.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Our client is looking for a Business Analyst with 2-3 years experience to examine, improve and recommend optimal business processes within an organisation as well as identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks and areas for improvement in the existing business processes. The successful role holder will support projects and business as required
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Requirements Documentation: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to ensure they are clear, concise, and aligned with business objectives. Translate high-level business requirements into robust functional specifications that are supported by user story boards/use cases
- Process Flows: Align with the business the implementation of new business process flows so that robust and efficient To Be processes are clearly defined and implemented
- System Understanding: Gain a deep understanding of our system architecture and capabilities to effectively translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Project Involvement: Actively participate in key transformational projects, providing insights and recommendations to ensure successful project outcomes. Work closely with project managers as a member of project teams and ensure accurate estimation of effort and delivery of tasks as required.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders by facilitating workshops to understand their needs, provide regular updates, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Creating and documenting support processes for new systems or system changes including the development of new and updated processes and responsibilities through training and communication
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all business requirements and process flows meet high-quality standards and are thoroughly tested before implementation. Analyse the impact of proposed changes on customers, workflow processes and employees
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the team to continuously drive customer focused solutions
- Plan: Planning, coordinating and conducting business analysis deliverables (producing the business analysis plan, workflow maps, business needs, requirements,and recommendations)
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED
- 2-3 years experience in a business analysis role
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Visio, Monday.com and Sharepoint skills
- Understand commercial impact of design decisions
- Strong attention to detail
- Committed, enthusiastic and forward thinking
- Multi tasker with the proven ability to manage multiple objective
- Focused on meeting agreed deadlines and milestones
SPECIFIC ROLE COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or IT related discipline
- Formalised training in Business Analysis or Lean Six Sigma desirable
- Experience in Agile teams an advantage
- Proven facilitation experience
