Morgan McKinley are delighted to be working with a leading Irish company to find an experienced Buyer to join their team in Dublin.
This Buyer will manage supplier relationships, monitor trends, and work closely with the merchandising and marketing teams to ensure the availability of popular and in-demand products.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identify and source new products based on market trends, customer demand, and company strategy.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms to ensure the best deals for the company.
- Place orders and ensure product availability in line with sales forecasts and seasonal demands.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any supply chain issues.
- Work closely with the team to adjust pricing strategies based on market and supplier data.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Generate and analyse regular purchasing reports to monitor supplier performance, sales trends, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate regular supplier meetings to maintain strong working relationships.
Key Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in purchasing or buying within the retail pharmacy or related sector.
- Strong experience in supplier negotiations, inventory management, and cost control.
- Proficiency in purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
