Our client, a leading organisation in the commercial/semi-state sector, is seeking an FP&A Compliance & Controls Lead to join their team in North Dublin. This is a two-year fixed-term contract, offering a hybrid working model.
This role is pivotal in shaping financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing operational efficiency. Reporting to the Business Partnering & Planning Manager, you will provide strategic insights and guidance to senior management, ensuring the effective identification, monitoring, and reporting of regulatory and efficiency performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the finance lead for regulatory processes, overseeing financial consolidation, performance analysis, and compliance with industry frameworks.
- Take full ownership of regulatory financial models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with evolving business structures.
- Coordinate and deliver financial submissions related to operating expenditure (OPEX), ensuring effective planning and robust financial governance.
- Lead initiatives to drive cost deficiencies, ensuring savings are accurately documented, assessed, and embedded across the business.
- Work collaboratively with finance and business teams to analyse cost trends, identify optimisation opportunities, and challenge expenditure growth.
- Develop and enhance financial reporting tools to track efficiency improvements and overall cost performance.
- Prepare executive-level financial reports and board presentations, providing clear insights into financial performance, regulatory compliance, and efficiency strategies.
Key Requirements:
- A relevant third-level qualification with 7-10 years of professional experience in a similar role.
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA) or an equivalent certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create clear and insightful reports.
- Strong report writing capabilities, ensuring accurate and well-structured financial documentation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial insights effectively.
- A solid commercial background, with a deep understanding of financial processes and business needs.
