Private Equity Director

A global financial services provider is seeking a Private Equity Director to join its remote-first team. This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic fund administration services across private equity, real estate, and hybrid structures. You'll be at the forefront of operational innovation, working with advanced technologies and collaborating with teams across international time zones - all from the comfort of your remote setup.
The Private Equity Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of NAV calculation for Private Equity funds. Reporting to a Managing Director, you will provide leadership, drive strategic initiatives, and manage service delivery across multiple client relationships. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of closed-end fund structures and a passion for developing and scaling teams in a fully remote environment.
Lead and manage fund accounting teams in delivering accurate and timely NAVs and investor reporting.
Oversee operations including fee and waterfall calculations, capital calls, distributions, P&L allocations, and investor communications.
Support and participate in new client onboarding, including system demonstrations and operational planning.
Foster a strong control environment, ensuring processes are well-documented, tested, and continuously improved.
Provide strategic input on technology and workflow enhancements.
Mentor and support the development of junior team members, including performance evaluations and career path planning.
Collaborate closely with internal teams across investor services, compliance, operations, and QA.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, auditors, legal counsel, and external partners.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Legal (minimum 2.2 honors or equivalent).
Extensive experience in Private Equity fund administration, with a strong grasp of operational and regulatory requirements.
Proven leadership experience managing teams (up to 30 people) and complex client relationships.
Ability to work effectively in a remote-first structure while leading distributed teams.
Strong technical skills and comfort working with fund accounting systems and data platforms.
