Role: Head of Training and Development

Role Summary:
This role with a well-established member services body in Dublin city is a great opportunity for an experienced training and development candidate to leverage their experience and grow their career. You will collaborate with leading experts and stakeholders while also advancing the professional growth of members and individuals in the public and private sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strategic business models for professional development - from Diploma-level to micro-credential courses - based on skills matrix
- Develop and manage high-quality training and education programmes in various formats (in-person, virtual, and hybrid).
- Partner with instructors, facilitators, lecturers, and guest speakers to create engaging and impactful learning experiences.
- Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure every programme meets high standards and remains cost-effective.
- Regularly assess programme outcomes through data analysis of course participants and adapt offerings based on member feedback and emerging trends.
- Manage ongoing series of professional development events for members/non-members.
- Motivate and develop key education income streams to increase targets through the implementation of comprehensive sales and marketing strategies and tactics
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree/Masters in communications, business, public relations, education, CPD, Instructional Design or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in professional development, education, training, or programme management with proven experience in education and training programme development for professionals ideally within communications or related industries.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple programmes simultaneously.
- Knowledge of research principles and survey design and analysis.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design best practices desirable.
- Experience in talent development agencies, e-learning platforms and learning management systems (LMS) is desirable.
