We are delighted to partner with our client in the public sector for the recruitment of a International Publicity Officer to join their team on an initial contract basis.
The International Publicity Officer will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality itineraries for international and domestic media to maximize publicity for Ireland.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and manage itineraries for media to promote Irish tourism brands, festivals, and key activities.
- Oversee media event budgets and support staff.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Track and evaluate PR plans and media engagement against targets.
- Coordinate with various teams to develop itinerary content.
- Maintain databases and monitor industry trends for media opportunities.
- Travel is required both domestically and occasionally internationally, with some work outside regular hours.
Requirements
- Experience in itinerary development for media and strong knowledge of Irish tourism.
- Project and budget management skills, along with excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
- Professional qualification (minimum Level 6 under the QQI Framework) in a related discipline.
- Preferred experience in PR, marketing, media channels, and destination development.
