Operational Risk Analyst - 30 hours a week permanent position.
Morgan McKinley are now supporting a dublin based financial services firm in finding an Operational Risk Analyst is a second line of defence role sitting within the Risk and Compliance department. The right candidate will have responsibility for supporting the first line of defence in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks within the firm. This role involves developing and implementing risk management strategies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Identification and Assessment
- Risk Mitigation: Assist in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Monitor risk exposures and report on risk management activities to senior management.
- Investigate and manage operational risk incidents, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
- Develop and update risk management policies and procedures.
- Continuously review and improve the operational risk management framework.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk specific qualifications would be a benefit e.g. IoB or PRMIA qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in operational risk management within the banking sector
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
