Operational Risk Manager - 18 month FTC

Role Overview:

This role provides operational risk oversight for my investment banking client who specializes in a range of capital markets products and services. This position is part of the 2nd line of defence, working closely with risk teams and senior leadership to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Banking Licence Project: Support risk management workstreams during the EU Banking Licence application process.
• Operational Risk Oversight: Monitor and challenge risk activities across key programs such as risk event management, control testing, scenario analysis, and training.
• Non-Financial Risk Management: Oversee risks including outsourcing, operational resilience, and fraud risk.
• Risk Reporting & Governance: Assist in developing risk appetite statements, analysing risk data, and preparing reports for senior management and the Board.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with business partners and ensure effective communication of risk issues.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) Fitness & Probity standards and conduct requirements.

Regulatory & Conduct Expectations:

The role is a Controlled Function (CF) under the CBI's Fitness & Probity Regime, requiring high standards of competency, integrity, and ethical conduct. Compliance with market conduct rules and CBI Conduct Standards is essential.
