A Pharmaceutical client based in Dublin is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team on a 12-month hourly rate contract.
Support the execution of construction and engineering projects within a pharmaceutical campus, ensuring the coordination of electrical activities to meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe execution of work in line with site, corporate, and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage project lifecycle, from concept through design, execution, commissioning, and close-out.
- Monitor and report on project deliverables and timelines.
- Oversee construction activities with third-party contractors, construction managers, and facility teams.
- Lead daily project meetings for planning and execution.
- Collaborate with contractors on planning, materials, safety reviews, and approvals of work documents (e.g., RAMS, SPAs, COHE, LOTO) and Permits to Work.
- Review installation quality and participate in system walkdowns and turnover.
- Approve turnover packs and as-built drawings.
- Support the project commercial team with cost control.
- Address complex project execution issues, working with stakeholders to find optimal solutions.
- Contribute to Root Cause and Cross Functional Investigations in a collaborative team setting.
Education / Experience:
- FETAC Level 6 National Craft Certificate - Electrical or equivalent + 7 years relevant experience.
- Proven track record in fostering a safety culture within project teams.
- Strong knowledge of electrical testing, certifications, and installation standards.
- Experience on Biopharmaceutical projects is advantageous.
- Familiar with safety, GMP, and environmental regulatory standards.
- Expertise in interpreting electrical drawings and understanding I.S. 10101, I.S. 3217, and I.S. 3218.
- Understanding of mechanical systems interfacing with electrical infrastructure.
- Skilled in electrical inspections and producing detailed reports.
- Experience with project management software and tools.
