About the new Role:
An ambitious fully qualified accountant that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to support new business sectors.
The successful candidate will have a strong financial and analytical ability and will be able to demonstrate experience of interpreting and analysing large volumes of data.
They will have a proven record of reporting accurate month end accounts with appropriate controls to safeguard business assets.
Role Responsibilities:
* Preparation & reporting of monthly accounts to include supporting reconciliations.
* Deliver a detailed analytical review of p&l comparing actuals to budget & prior year.
* Developing commercial reports to give insightful Gross margin variance analysis.
* Implementation of new processes and controls for new business sectors.
* Assist in forecast modelling for new business sectors.
* Assist with improving efficiencies through automation within the finance function.
* Developing reports & KPI's to improve turnaround time of deliverables.
* Liaise with AR team & management of aged debtors reporting.
* Ownership of annual budgets (including cashflow forecasting)
* Work with the business to identify and understand their financial management information needs Essential Skills & Experience to Succeed
* Qualified accountant ideally with 2+ Years PQE, ideally in industry.
* Excellent knowledge of Excel essential. * SAGE 200 experience desired but not essential.
* Commercial focused accountant.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
