Senior Lending Manager | Permanent | Dublin / Hybrid
The Senior Lending Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of customers who require finance to carry out residential development projects.
This includes overseeing projects throughout the lending cycle, from initial enquiry to full repayment of facilities. The role involves detailed assessment of development funding proposals, preparation of loan reports, maintaining compliance with policies, delivering high service standards, and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers requiring funding for residential development projects.
- Conducting detailed assessments of residential development projects, assisting borrowers to structure loan proposals, preparing clear and concise loan reports, and making recommendations to the appropriate sanctioning authority.
- Supporting other team members and providing advice and guidance on funding applications.
- Participating in regular reviews of borrower relationships and funded developments with the DML, Head of Lending, Management Team, and other business areas.
- Achieving lending targets within agreed timeframes and on commercial terms.
- Ensuring accurate and timely updates on the progress of funded schemes.
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of governance.
- Ensuring all documentation related to facilities is recorded and available for audit purposes.
- Coordinating effectively with internal and external auditors.
- Ensuring strong working relationships between the lending team, credit and risk teams, primary service providers, and external advisors, such as monitoring surveyors and property advisors.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years' with a proven track record in residential development lending, preparing funding proposals, and achieving lending targets.
- Excellent knowledge of residential development lending product offerings and markets.
- Degree in economics, finance or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong understanding of lending agreements, covenants, and security requirements.
- Proven ability to review, understand, and interpret financial accounts and forecasts.
- Demonstrated commercial judgment and awareness of the residential market in Ireland.
- Experience in managing credit quality and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach junior team members.
- Proven ability to deliver results and achieve objectives.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workloads effectively.
